Motorhome - Model year 2027 is here!

Published

KABE presents model year 2027 – even greater comfort and a more premium feel – plus a unique world-first innovation.

Since 1957, KABE has been building caravans in Tenhult, Småland, and developing leisure vehicles designed for the Scandinavian climate. For almost 70 years, KABE has been at the forefront of caravan and motorhome development, launching innovations that have enhanced the camping experience for customers throughout Europe.

Smart D 2.0

For model year 2026, KABE took another major technological leap with the new Smart D 2.0 control panel. The system is based on modern CAN bus technology, enabling faster, more stable and more precise control of the vehicle’s functions. It also features a completely new user interface, Bluetooth connectivity and automatic updates.

Another major innovation for 2026 was a new ultra-low AL-KO chassis for the front-wheel-drive fully integrated Crown and Imperial models. By lowering the chassis frame rails by nine centimetres, KABE has created significantly more space between the lower and upper floors.

– This provides room for larger water tanks and more luggage. The fresh water tank now holds 280 litres and the grey water tank 150 litres, says Peter Vlaanderen, Sales Manager for several European markets.

Customer benefits in focus

For model year 2027, KABE continues to develop the market’s most comfortable leisure vehicles for year-round use. This year’s innovations further enhance both the user experience and the high level of comfort that characterises the brand – with a focus on smarter kitchen solutions, improved functionality, increased comfort and even more refined design.

– We continue to develop our products based on our customers’ needs and wishes. Model year 2027 introduces several new features that make life on the road both easier and more comfortable, while building on the qualities that have made KABE a market leader in comfort and year-round use.

Unique world first – fully integrated TRAQ with all-wheel drive

KABE is once again pushing the boundaries of premium motorhomes. Together with Mercedes-Benz, we are presenting our first fully integrated motorhome with optional all-wheel drive. For model year 2027, KABE is therefore the only motorhome manufacturer to offer a fully integrated model with all-wheel drive, built on Mercedes-Benz’s newly developed Sprinter chassis.

The all-wheel-drive system provides improved traction and stability when road conditions become more demanding – whether driving on snow, gravel or wet roads. Safety has also been verified through crash testing, with excellent results. With this innovation, KABE takes safety, driving comfort and peace of mind to an even higher level.

The new option is available for the Crown and Imperial TRAQ 830 in the LGB and LQB layouts. As standard, the TRAQ models come with rear-wheel drive, providing improved driving stability, high towing capacity with a gross train weight of 7 tonnes, and excellent handling even in demanding conditions. For customers requiring even greater traction, all-wheel drive is available as an option. The combination of Mercedes-Benz technology, KABE’s renowned comfort and an advanced drivetrain creates a motorhome designed for year-round travel.

A new Offroad Package is also being launched for the fully integrated TRAQ models, featuring a powerful exterior design, a roof bar with auxiliary lights and matt black alloy wheels for an even more rugged appearance. The package is also available for the Novum TRAQ 750 LGB.

– With TRAQ, we are taking the next step in the development of premium motorhomes for active, year-round travel. By combining all-wheel drive, KABE’s renowned comfort and Mercedes-Benz drivetrain and chassis technology, we are creating an entirely new type of motorhome for the market, says Peter Blomqvist, Sales Director at KABE.

The same drivetrain concept has also been available in the semi-integrated Novum TRAQ 750 LGB since model year 2026, with rear-wheel drive as standard and all-wheel drive as an option. It is ideal for those who want a slightly shorter motorhome with the ability to tow heavy trailers, such as a horse trailer or a car trailer.

Built for your passions

With all-wheel drive, an impressive gross train weight of up to 7 tonnes and a towing capacity of no less than 1,980 kg, the KABE TRAQ is a natural choice for anyone with high demands on both towing performance and comfort. Whether you are transporting horses to a competition, launching a boat for a weekend adventure, taking a car along on holiday or towing a trailer carrying an enduro bike or racing car, TRAQ delivers power, stability and confidence even in demanding conditions.

– KABE TRAQ is designed for those who want to combine premium living with an active lifestyle, where the motorhome becomes a natural base – without compromising on safety, performance or comfort, says Peter Blomqvist.

More innovations for enhanced comfort and functionality

Following the extensive renewal of the motorhome range for model year 2026 – with updated interiors in Scandinavian design, the Smart D 2.0 system with CAN bus technology, large water tanks, modern side-skirt packages and several new layouts – KABE continues to develop its premium offering for 2027.

Model year 2027 also brings several new layouts, updated kitchens, smarter storage solutions and improved technology that will make life on the road both more comfortable and more practical. At the same time, KABE is taking another step forward in safety, providing greater confidence regardless of road conditions. For those who prioritise off-grid camping and winter comfort, an Alde heating system with diesel operation is now also available as an option, providing efficient diesel heating on cold winter days and during extended periods off-grid. In addition, automatic transmission becomes standard on Mercedes-Benz-based models, further enhancing comfort on long journeys.

KABE Classic x740

Classic without compromise

An exciting new addition to the range is the Classic x740, a new semi-integrated motorhome built on the Fiat Ducato, with an overall width of 2.45 metres and a drop-down bed. The model complements the Classic series and offers more spacious accommodation for up to four people.

– The new Classic x740 shows that an entry-level model does not have to mean making compromises. Customers get a spacious and well-equipped motorhome with a smart layout, high levels of comfort and the qualities that have made KABE a natural choice for many customers across Europe, says Peter Vlaanderen, Sales Manager for several European markets.

The Classic x740 is available in the LXL layout with a double bed and the LGB layout with raised longitudinal single beds and a garage underneath.

Inviting Scandinavian design

The interior has been further refined, with several models receiving new kitchen drawers featuring a robust metal construction for an even better fit. A new, larger sink with improved drainage is also introduced, along with an enhanced height-adjustable TV bracket that accommodates a 32-inch TV.

A more cohesive interior design is also being introduced, with upholstered panels around the windows now featured in both the front and rear of the motorhome, creating a harmonious and exclusive overall impression. In the Novum and Royal series, the overhead cabinets above the driver and passenger seats are also updated to match the rest of the interior. In the Novum 750, an L-shaped dinette is now standard.

The Novum 750 LGB has been updated with a more modern and spacious bathroom, creating a significantly greater sense of space inside the vehicle. The model is also equipped with a practical pull-out wardrobe.

On the exterior, all motorhomes receive new graphics with a semi-matt finish, creating a more understated and exclusive premium appearance.

iNDUS Eco

Storage and toilet solutions

Among the technical innovations is the Thetford iNDUS ECO toilet, which becomes standard in the fully integrated models. The system offers an additive-free toilet solution with an integrated black water tank, making both everyday use and emptying easier and more sustainable.

KABE also continues to develop its garage storage solutions. In the Novum, the previous shelving system is replaced by a new panelled rear wall. FlexiStorage is available as an option – a modular storage system featuring a tool panel, mesh pockets and bags that can be adapted to different types of equipment. The garage access door on the Novum series has also been enlarged with a new rectangular opening, making it easier to load and unload items such as bicycles and camping furniture.

– We continue to develop our motorhomes with a focus on the details that make the greatest difference to our customers in everyday use. Model year 2027 introduces several improvements that enhance comfort, functionality and the overall user experience – while further strengthening KABE’s position in the premium segment, says Peter.
